CHILD CAR SEAT CHECKS

More than 60% of car seats are improperly installed or used; make sure your kids are riding as safely as possible.

NKF&R’s certified child passenger safety technician checks child car seats for free. Seat checks are held on the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the district’s headquarters fire station at 26642 Miller Bay Road NE near Kingston.

CPR & AED CLASS (with course completion cards )

Join our firefighters to learn the vital skills needed to be helpful in the chain of survival. See a video demonstrating the local chain of survival in a simulated event. Read a story about how the chain of survival helped ensure the recovery of a Kingston-area cardiac arrest patient.

No classes currently scheduled; check with Poulsbo Fire Department or search online using the terms “CPR” and “Kitsap County” for private groups offering training locally.

Enrollment is limited to six students and participants must sign-up in advance by calling (360)297-3619 during business hours. The class, which meets American Heart Association guidelines, is free but students must pay $20.75 by cash or check to receive a course completion card.
