CHILD CAR SEAT CHECKS
More than 60% of car seats are improperly installed or used; make sure your kids are riding as safely as possible.
NKF&R’s certified child passenger safety technician checks child car seats for free. Seat checks are held on the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the district’s headquarters fire station (26642 Miller Bay Road NE near Kingston).

Saturday, May 16, 2026, at North Kitsap Fire & Rescue Headquarters Station (26642 Miller Bay Road NE in Kingston) — Join NKF&R firefighters as they share what you need to know to be a vital link in the chain of survival. One-hour classes start at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. This class is free (no certifications or course completion cards issued).
